The Challenge
Ember Coffee needed to stand out in an increasingly crowded specialty coffee market where aesthetics are as important as the coffee itself. They needed a brand that would appeal to design-conscious millennials while communicating quality and ethical sourcing.
Our Solution
We developed a warmth-forward brand identity rooted in the concept of 'slow mornings'—earthy color palette, custom hand-lettered wordmark, illustrated origin maps, and packaging that becomes a collectible. Extended the system across packaging, merchandise, and a flagship café concept.
The Results
Product launched in 120 specialty retailers nationwide. The packaging won a Communication Arts Award. The brand was featured in Bon Appétit and Kinfolk, driving immediate sellouts of the first production run.
