VRN BrowserNew

The browser that stays offline until you ask.

VRN Browser keeps the network shut by default. Each tab connects only on a short-lived permit that you grant, and every permit expires on its own. Tor and proxy tabs, tracker blocking and a one-tap panic wipe come built in, with no account and no telemetry.

How it works

Connections are permits, not defaults

Most browsers keep every tab online in the background. VRN Browser treats the network as closed until you open it, one tab at a time.

  1. 01

    Sealed by default

A new tab has no network access. Nothing loads, pings or prefetches until you ask for a page.

  2. 02

    You grant a permit

Opening a link, refreshing or switching to a tab gives that one tab a short-lived permit to connect.

  3. 03

    It seals itself again

Background tabs are cut within seconds, the tab in front after an idle hour, and every tab when the app leaves the screen.

Features

Private by design, not by setting

Every protection is on from the first launch. There is nothing to configure before you are safe.

Per-tab permits

Connections are leased per tab and expire automatically. A page can extend an open permit but can never reopen a sealed one.

Tor and proxy tabs

Route a single tab through the built-in Tor client, or through your own SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy, next to normal tabs.

Tracker blocking

A built-in tracker list is enforced on navigation and on background requests such as fetch, XHR, WebSocket and beacons.

HTTPS first

Plain HTTP pages are upgraded to HTTPS and insecure page content is blocked. Local network addresses stay off limits.

Panic wipe

One action closes every tab, revokes every permit, clears website data and starts a fresh session.

No account needed

Browse as a guest straight away. An optional local profile keeps encrypted history and can unlock with Face ID or Touch ID.

Zero telemetry

No analytics, crash reporting, ads, cloud sync or remote configuration. VRN Browser never talks to our servers.

Permissions denied

Camera, microphone and location requests from websites are refused automatically, and the page hides when you switch apps.

FAQ

Common questions

Why does a page stop loading after I leave the tab?
That is the permit expiring. Background tabs are sealed after 3 seconds and the tab in front after 1 hour without activity, so nothing keeps talking to the internet while you are not looking. Tap Refresh or switch back to the tab to reconnect. You can change both timers in Settings.
Do I need an account?
No. VRN Browser opens straight into a guest session. A local profile is optional and lives only on your device; there is no sign-up, email address or account server.
Is VRN Browser free?
Yes. There are no ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases.
What data does VRN Browser collect?
None. The app has no analytics, crash reporting or tracking, and it never connects to VRN Digital servers. Your history, profile and proxy settings stay encrypted on your device.
